UAE Emirates ID Renewal Online Procedure

One of the major service which is functional now on emirates identity authority official e services website is Renewal of ID. At time when validity of emirates id is expired every citizen needs to renew it. Now those who want to save their valuable time and don’t want to get in any hassle can apply online through advance e system of emirates ID authority using e-form.

One of preeminent benefit of applying renewal of ID online is saving of typing fees those who were happy to manually applying for renewal have to pay 30 dhs at typing center. But using online system applicant can fill e-form in both Arabic and English Language without giving anytime of fee.


How to Renew Emirates ID Online:

For completion of process every person first must register his/her account on after that fill online e-form and visit the Emirates Identity Authority offices.

  1. Fill the form online with all required information on
  2. After than Scan original documents in case for Emirates citizen they have to upload scanned copies of Passport, Family book and expatriates/Residents have to upload clear scanned copies of passport and visa page.
  3. You can pay fee through your credit card fee for 5 years of validity is 100dhs and for 10 years of validity 200dhs.
  4. After completion of process you receive confirmation message with Application Number. Give this application number at typing center to get Receipt.
  5. Contact emirates post with detail written on receipt to send you new identity card on your address.

Renewal From Typing Centers(Manually)

Those who unable to apply online can go to typing center and fill application their with all of required documents mention below.

Document Required for those Who want to Submit Application on Typing Centers:

Following are the criteria for each type of citizen

1. Those who were official UAE citizens holding Social Security Certificate over the age of 15

After filling online application note down the Application Number and visit EIDA offices with following documents:

Certificate of Social Security
Valid Original Passport or Family Book
Copy of Expired identity Card

2. For Elder and Special Persons:

Approved Medical Report

Photos of size 4.5 x 3.5 cm with blue background

Expired ID card

3. For Children Below 15 years old must have to attach original birth certificate

4. For those who were not official citizen of UAE  without havng social Security Certificate:

Valid Original Passport or Family Book
Copy of Expired identity Card

5. GCC Citizen Required Documents:

Valid Passport

Real Estate Ownership Document or Rental Contract attested from respective authorty

Expired Id Card

6. Expats or Residents:

Valid Original Passport

Expired Residency Certificate

Expired ID card

How you Receive ID Card:
